Native New Yorker Deana Martin is a multi-talented song-stylist, actress, best-selling author -- and a licensed pilot. She's also her father's daughter. "Deana Sings Dino" takes the stage Friday, April 20, at Lorenzo's Cabaret in the Hilton Garden Inn. If you haven't guessed by now, her famous father is the Dean Martin, the legendary charter member of The Rat Pack who was nicknamed the "King of Cool" for his good looks, natural charisma and seemingly effortless stage presence.
Deana told SILive she has lots of good friends in the Big Apple, so she's looking forward to her Staten Island debut because she "simply adores the smaller cabaret and jazz clubs." "Everyone loves Dean Martin and it's such a thrill for me to sing my dad's songs. Remember, I learned from the very best in the business and I bring them to my shows when I sing at the smaller venues. And I remember sitting in the Copa Room at the Sands Hotel. It was really something the way my dad brought people in."
