It all comes down to this. Almost a month after the UEFA European Championship kicked off with 24 teams competing for the title, Italy and England will meet on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the final of the star-studded tournament. Neither team has lost a game on the road to the final of Euro 2020 – so called because it was supposed to be held last year but was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Italy took down Spain in penalty kicks and England defeated Denmark in extra time of their respective semifinals. While England and Italy have a well-documented footballing history, the two teams weren't many pundits' picks to reach the final. The English haven't made an international final since 1966 and have never won the European Championships in their long history.
