Opera Buffa or Comic Operas were among the works making Donizetti a famous composer in his day and his operas remain popular in the world's greatest opera houses today. Tonight we'll sample a few hilarious moments from 3 of his best works.

Gianni Schicchi is Puccini's one act comic opera based on an incident mentioned in Dante's Divine Comedy. When it premiered at the MET in 1918, it was an immediate hit and continues as an audience pleaser every time it's performed.
