Fall is approaching and the Italian Institute of Culture in New York is opening its annual season with Inauguration, a series of concerts celebrating the new Bechstein piano acquired to “fully honor the excellence of the performers invited to play,” they wrote in a statement.
“A European-made Bechstein was chosen, with a broad, lyrical, and deep sound, capable of adapting to both Romantic and Baroque and modern repertoires. The acquisition was facilitated by a significant reduction in the list price, for which IIC thanks Faust Harrison Pianos” and the pianists Cristiana Pegoraro and Leonora Armellini, who assisted Director Fabio Finotti in the search and selection of the instrument.
