The New York Racing Association, Inc. has invited the American Italian Heritage Association and Museum, again this year, to join them at Italian-American Day at Saratoga Race Course for, Italian-American Day, Wednesday, August 19th, 11:00-5:00. The day-long festivities will include Italian music, dance, entertainment, crafts and food in the Saratoga Pavilion.
Entertainment has been scheduled, to include: Ralph Carmine Brooks, strolling accordion player, greeting visitors at the grandstand and clubhouse entrances; dancers under the direction of choreographer, Louise Giuliano, performing the traditional Italian folk dance, the Tarantella; Singers Brian DiGuiseppe and Christina Catalano Pizzino; and Umberto Palmieri, on Guitar w/old Neapolitan songs.
Traditional Italian food- will also be available in the Saratoga Pavilion, including:-meatball, sausage and peppers, eggplant parm, chicken parm. Let us not forget the best traditional Italian desserts, cannoli, pizzelles, and homemade Italian cookies, in addition to Gelato, provided by Saratoga Gelato.
