Cue the “Coming Home” music! Setauket native and college free agent Bobby Trivigno has signed a contract with the New York Rangers. Trivigno, who recently completed his senior season at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, was one of college hockey’s top free agents.
The 23-year-old forward was among 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker award, given to the top NCAA men’s ice hockey player. College Hockey News named him its Player of the Year for the 2021-22 season. He finished this past season with 20 goals and 29 assists in 37 games.
