Italian American Museum and San Carlino Theatre Company present: The Three Little Pigs. Saturday, June 25th, 6:30 P.M. Light refreshments will be served

Children and their parents are cordially invited to attend a performance of The Three Little Pigs (in Italian) by the San Carlino Theatre Company at the Italian American Museum on Saturday evening, June 25th. Based on the original, acclaimed version by Joseph Jacobs, The Three Little Pigs is one of the best-loved children's stories of all time! Adapted by San Carlino and performed with foam puppets, it is full of fast-growing comedy and interaction with the audience.

About the Play: The three little pigs have become bigger and bigger, and at mamma pig's place, there is not enough space for all of them. It's now time to leave their home and explore the world; it's time to grow up. The three brothers will soon discover how difficult it is to become a grown-up - at least until the wolf appears. All of us know that only the oldest brother will survive, following the advice of mamma pig, by building a house of bricks. As you will discover, as in all plays staged by San Carlino, some small details are changed. Thanks to the audience, maybe the other tiny brothers will escape and find shelter at their brother's place, instead of building houses of straw or sticks. The wolf will be left empty-handed and with a burned tail!

About The San Carlino Theatre Company: The San Carlino Theatre Company is one of the most influential and popular puppet companies in Italy, operating its own stable theatre in Rome. The roots of the theatre plays are anchored in the Neapolitan puppet tradition and Commedia dell'arte. Since the plays are produced for children and their parents, they offer elements that are targeted for children and valuable for adults. The productions cover fairytales from Grimm and Andersen, Mozart and Rossini operas, and literature such as Charles Dickens, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and E.T.A. Hoffmann. The work combines different forms of figurative theatre with acting, dance, percussion and drums. Spoken in Italian.
