About the Film:

The Fighting Wagners, previously known as A Shot at the Title is the true story of eleven brothers who fought during the early 1900's. The film carries a history of our immigrant ancestors. In the 1900's they were met with discrimination and injustice as the Irish dominated the streets and the boxing arena. When Anthony Sarubbi entered the ring for the first time he was faced with a decision - change your name or be turned down as a contender. He conceded and thus began the legacy of this family. This movie is the antithesis of criminality and organized crime. It represents every nationality entering the US.
