When the coronavirus abruptly shut down NCAA spring sports in March, Alabama golfer Angelica Moresco suddenly found herself having to make a hard choice: deciding between her family home in Italy and her golfing home in Tuscaloosa. She went with the wisest option. She chose both.
“When we found out that the season was canceled, my teammate who is also from Italy (Carolina Caminoli) and I decided we had to go back,” she said. “We looked and looked and I think it was on the next day, we found one of the last flights going back to Italy. We were able to get on only because we were Italian citizens. No one else could enter Italy.
