Italy legend Alessandro Nesta has stepped down from his role as manager of Miami after a two-year spell at the American outfit. The news comes as a surprise, with Nesta - the former Lazio and AC Milan defender - guiding Miami to the top of the North American Soccer League (NASL).
Miami, owned by entrepreneur Riccardo Silva and Nesta's former team-mate, Paolo Maldini, began playing in the NASL in 2016. But the club will now have to look for the second manager in their history after Nesta confirmed his departure via his Instagram account.
