Dominic Fletcher ripped a double into the gap off veteran Colorado Rockies’ reliever Brad Hand in his first MLB at-bat for the Arizona Diamondbacks at Coors Field in Denver on Sunday, April 30, 2023. After getting a call in the middle of the night and boarding an early 5 am flight from Reno, Team Italy outfielder Dominic Fletcher possibly got one hour of sleep on the plane before reaching Coors Field in Denver to make his MLB debut for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Insomnia could not prevent the hot-hitting 25-year-old from raking at the plate when making his first plate appearance and doubling into the gap against veteran Colorado Rockies’ reliever Brad Hand.
