Dear Sir or Sirs,
With reference to our yearly publications, PrimiDieci and PrimiDieci-Under40, we would be pleased to receive your introduction to any Italians or Italian Americans that have particularly distinguished themselves in 2013.
It will be our pleasure to feature them in the next edition of the PrimiDieci and PrimiDieci-Under 40 books.

Background of the PrimiDieci and PrimiDieci-Under 40 Award publications
PrimiDieci and PrimiDieci-Under 40 are yearly publications that showcase some of the most successful Italians and Italian Americans that have distinguished themselves in their respective sectors, which can range from business to philanthropy to athletics to gastronomy, etc.

PrimiDieci recognizes individuals over 40 years old, while PrimiDieci-Under40 showcases professionals under 40 years of age. Each book features 10 honorees with a biography and a series of photographs that highlight their lives.

The honorees are not requested to pay a fee. As the Italy America Chamber of Commerce (IACC), our only intention is to demonstrate how many Italians or Italian-Americans make us proud of our community. 3000 copies of this year's publication of PrimiDieci and PrimiDieci-Under40 have been distributed to the most prestigious Italian and American institutions: the Italian Embassy in Washington, Consulates, universities, libraries, Chambers of Commerce and roughly 1000 distinguished people. The books have also been distributed to all government institutions in Italy.

The Selection Process
Each year, candidates are identified by enlisting the help of all Italian organizations, associations and institutions in the United Sates. They submit the names of possible candidates and a jury of 6 people determines the final winners.
Last year's honorees can be seen on our website at www.primidieci.org. They came from all over the U.S. and we are thankful to you for submitting their names. You helped us discover many jewels in our community!

Our Goal
1. To discover many of the extraordinarily talented Italians and Italian Americans living in the United States.
2. To provide visibility and showcase successful Italians and Italian Americans.
3. To advance the career of young Italians and Italian Americans.
4. To present some "role models" for others to follow.
5. To create a PrimiDieci "library" in time. These books are published as part of a collection series and will become a testament to the history and accomplishments of Italians and Italian Americans in the United States.
6. To improve our sense of Italian and Italian American pride.
7. To create a PrimiDieci "society" that will include some of the most successful Italians in the United States and around the world. Our objective is to create a community that will lead to future collaborations for the good of the general population.

Deadline
We ask that, by February 28, you submit the names and résumés of individuals that you believe are leaders and trendsetters in a particular sector.
With your collaboration, we are enthusiastic and excited to ensure the continued success of this initiative; together we will give well-deserved recognition to the leaders of our community.

Best regards,
