The 12th Annual Feast of San Gennaro Festival is set to return to Belmar on Saturday, September 7th, offering residents and visitors alike a chance to immerse themselves in Italian culture and cuisine. The festival, honoring St. Januarius, the patron saint of Naples, and celebrating Italian-American heritage, will take place at Pyanoe Plaza on 9th Avenue and Main Street from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In case of rain, the event will move to Sunday, September 15th. The day will begin with a special Mass of San Gennaro at St. Rose Catholic Church at 10 a.m., expected to be delivered in Italian. Following the Mass, a procession along Main Street will officially kick off the festival, featuring the Statue of San Gennaro displayed in the center of the street.
