Italians in Long Branch, at the Long Branch Arts & Cultural Center, NJ, celebrates the history and legacy of Italian immigrants who made Long Branch their new home in the early 20th century. This exhibit pays tribute to the strength and spirit of the Italian immigrants who settled in Long Branch and whose legacy continues to shape the city.
“It’s been a big family reunion collaborating with so many Italian families and clubs in Long Branch in order to bring this exhibit to life,” expressed Arts Director Margaret Fischer. Long Branch, like a well-cooked Sunday sauce (or gravy), is a melting pot of cultures. The Italian immigrants’ story is one of the many that make up the history of the city.
