St. Anthony Society's annual Italian Festival will celebrate the region's Italian Heritage this month on Rowan Boulevard. The annual festival kicks off at noon Saturday with a traditional procession through the streets of downtown Glassboro from St. Anthony's Mutual Aid Society on Church Street to Rowan Boulevard.
The event features singers, including Michael Jones and Greg Armstrong, Italian specialties, a Bocce tournament, a homemade wine contest, a strolling accordian player and carnival rides and games. Proceeds from carnival games benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs, Glassboro VFW Post 670 and South Jersey Vietnam Veterans.
