Everyone was Italian at Historic Smithville Saturday, Sept 26. The annual Italian Festival filled onsite parking across Moss Mill Road and brought in those who wanted to try some dancing, maybe play a little bocce or just try some of the Italian food specialties.
Sponsored by Villa Marie Council 6342 of the Knights of Columbus, the event stretched from the Colonial Inn to the Village Greene – where bocce was played. Jim Craine's band with Tony DeLuca performed Italian favorites. Accordionist Carmen Vitanza and drummer Harry Himies played in the gazebo. Dance Forum South demonstrated Italian folk dancing.
