Since 1927, the Feast of Madonna Dei Martiri has taken place in Hoboken, marked by a procession of the 800-lb statue through the streets. This year that tradition will continue, though modified for concerns over COVID-19.
The 94th Annual Feast of the Madonna Dei Martiri will take place at St. Francis Church in Hoboken, with novenas held nightly at 7:30 p.m. beginning August 31. Due to the Labor Day Holiday, there will be NO SERVICES Saturday 9/5 Sunday 9/6 or Monday 9/7, but the novenas will continue on the 8th and run through the week.
