The Nutley-Belleville Columbus Parade Committee has named its 2017 dignitaries.
The parade honorees are: John Apicella, Italian Business Leader
Ruth Bedford, Community Excellence Award
Dr. Louis Crupi, Italian Heritage Award
Anthony Iannorone, Lifetime Achievement Award
Al Lembo Jr., Grand Marshal
Henry Meola, Renaissance Award
Belleville Police Chief Mark Minichini, Belleville Man of the Year
Cindy Sica, Belleville Woman of Year
Nutley Police Chief Thomas Strumolo, Nutley Man of the Year
Marie Vecchiarelli, Nutley Woman of the Year
The committee made the introductions at its annual Meet and Greet in the Franklin Steakhouse in Nutley. Next up for the committee is its Taste of Italy fundraiser from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at the Nutley Parks and Recreation Building, 44 Park Ave. Festivities include food, music and raffle baskets. Participants are encouraged to bring their own wine.
