For the third consecutive year "Festa del Vino" will be presented by the Italian-American Cultural Club from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 15 at St. Florian Hall in Wintersville. A special highlight of the evening will be a silent auction of items provided by area businesses and individuals.
Well known local artist Dave Barnhouse has donated a print framed by Nelson's Fine Arts. The print, entitled "Serenity," depicts the Portland Head Light at twilight. Barnhouse noted it is the most photographed lighthouse in the world and that he was struck by "its beauty and majesty" when he and his wife, Marie, visited Maine.
Other works of art in the silent auction include a framed print of a scene in Charleston, S.C., donated by artist Jim Watson and two acrylic prints of fall and winter scenes from artist Don Fusco.
