The festival celebrates Italian heritage, but there's something for everyone. Organizers like to say it's the weekend when everyone is a little Italian! On Wednesday, David Rizzo and Miss Festa 2015 Annmarie Newman stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the event. The festival is a three-day event full of Italian food, live music, folk dancing and even a pasta-eating contest.

Organizers say the annual event is a great way for people to come out and remember the Italian immigrants who settled in our area. Festa Italia is Friday through Sunday, May 29 - 31 at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg. For a list of events, head to this website.
