
The 33rd annual Stark County Italian-American Festival is set for June 13-15 at Weis Park, 2600 Harvard Ave. NW. The festivities will include music, daily entertainment, a bocce tournament (men, women and teen teams), a pizza-eating contest, a singing contest, food and a kid’s zone.
The awards breakfast is set for 9 a.m. June 13 at Skyland Pines. Four graduating seniors will be awarded $2,000 scholarships: Kathryn Schoessel of Louisville High, Rocco Gross of Perry High, Elizabeth Cirese of GlenOak High and James Condo of Perry High. Also recognized will be Matt Palumbo as the recognition award recipient. Volunteer award recipients to be honored include Mark Capuano, Dude Capuano, Dia Palumbo and Rick Capuano.
