The Greater Youngstown Italian Festival will take place Friday through Sunday, Aug. 5-7, along four blocks of Federal Street, downtown. The event typically draws approximately 50,000 people over its three days. It will feature food from over 30 Italian restaurants and food vendors, continuous entertainment on two stages, retail vendors, a morra tournament, wine making and peppers in oil contests and Miss Italian Fest pageant.
Admission is $5 (free for children under 12). The festival is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Sunday; and 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday. The Wine and Beer tent will be located at Champion and East Federal streets; the Roma Stage will be in the tent at West Federal and Phelps streets.
