Collinsville is celebrating its 35th Italian Fest this year and it’s launched its celebration with one of its most unusual exhibits yet, according to a press release. The show "ITALY: BEHIND THE SCENES" is open now through Oct. 7, at the Collinsville Library, 408 W. Main, in Collinsville.
The photo exhibit takes visitors to places in Italy seldom seen on commercial tours. The show goes deep into Italy’s regions, off the beaten path, to see “the amazing, the unusual and the unknown.” Visitors will marvel at underwater treasures, mysterious stone carvings, amazing mosaics and masks, tiny houses, ancient festivals, a monster museum and cave cities — and they’ll learn a unique way to avoid bad luck. And that’s just the beginning.
