Festa Italiana of Minnesota announced today that its twice-held annual festival has been postponed until 2014. The organization will instead host a series of smaller events culminating in a three day festival next summer.
"Our greatest challenge since converting to non-profit has been to raise enough capital to produce an event on the scale of 2011-2012," said John Andreozzi, the organization's president. "A careful and dispassionate review of our ledger forced us to make some difficult decisions. We will now focus our energies on restructuring our finances and raising that necessary capital."
