Bronx Councilman Jimmy Vacca Monday blasted an animal-rights group's ad campaign featuring actress Edie Falco — who played Carmela Soprano in "The Sopranos" — that intended to persuade him to vote to ban horse-drawn carriages.
The campaign by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals also features fashion guru Tim Gunn in bus-shelter ads appearing in a Chelsea district with a large gay population, and hip hop mogul Russell Simmons in ads aimed at several black councilmembers.
