Born May 23, 1936, in Paganica, Abruzzo, Italy, he was a son of the late Luigi and Augusta Iovenitti.

He was a member of the Calabria Society and La Societa' Sciaresi D'America, both of New Rochelle, and the Italian American Civic Association of Vero Beach, Fla., where he maintained a vacation home.
