Martino Marazzi, associate professor of Italian literature at the University of Milan, is the author of Danteum: Studi sul Dante imperiale del Novecento (Franco Cesati Editore, 2015), Voices of Italian America: A History of Early Italian American Literature with a Critical Anthology (Fordham University Press, 2012), and Italexit: Saggi su Risorgimento e disunione nazionale (Franco Cesati Editore, 2019), as well as many studies on the cultural relations between the United States and Italy. He also edited a trilingual edition of Peppino il lustrascarpe, written in 1886 (FrancoAngeli, 2007), one of the first literary works by Italians in America.
