Let’s Celebrate “Carnevale di Venezia”

Presented by: Anita Sanseverino. With her vibrant and beautiful photographs of Venetian costumes and masks, Anita Sanseverino will illustrate why Carnevale has been so popular for hundreds of years. She will enrich her work with a talk on the origins of Carnevale and the traditions that began as far back as the 13th century.

It has always been Anita's mission to share Italian culture through her photographs and detailed research of her subject. An award winning photographer dedicated to the subject of Italy as well as a lecturer of Italian history and culture, Anita Sanseverino began her career by photographing New York City more than 25 years ago. She is a recipient of the Woman of Achievement in the Arts award, and has had solo exhibitions and lectures at the Columbus Citizens Foundation, Westchester Italian Cultural Center, Casa Belvedere, The Italian American Museum, Ramapo College, St. John's University, Wagner College, the Garibaldi Meucci Museum, and venues in Italy. Her work, highlighting the unique beauty of the region of Puglia, was featured in Bridge-Apulia magazine. Her photographs are on permanent display at the Frederick Gallery in Spring Lake NJ, at Wagner College in Staten Island and in various collections in the United States, Italy and Argentina.
