Local church celebrates 100 years

At the turn of the 20th century, the Annunciation Church was a mission church for Rochester's growing Italian-American community. Today, the church still stands on Norton Street as it celebrates 100 years in the Rochester community on Saturday.

The church has been used for multiple purposes over the past century. When a new church was constructed in 1967, the space became more of a multi-purpose building that hosted activities such as bingo, dance and kickball.
