In New York, 2024 Long Island Ambassador Awards of the Italian American Museum

It will be the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury (8325 Jericho Tpke, Long Island, NY) that will host the 2024 Long Island Ambassador Awards sponsored by the Italian American Museum on Nov. 17, from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

The meeting each year honors those among the leaders of Italian American associations and organizations who have distinguished themselves in community enhancement. Welcoming will be the Founder and President of the Italian American Museum, Joseph V. Scelsa. The Gala, hosted by Robert G. Fonti, will be enhanced by the music of Charlie Romo.

This year's honorees are John Affisco - nominated by Joseph V. Scelsa - for the Italian American Genealogical Society; Josephine Belli - nominated by Joseph Sciame - for the Italian Heritage and Culture Committee of NY; Anthony Bengivenga - nominated by Santi Buscemi - for UNICO National; Joseph A. DePaola - nominated by Paul Fischetti - for the Columbia Association of the FDNYM; Michael DeSiano - nominated by Francis Elmi - for the Italian American Legal Defense & Higher Education Fund; Eugene Donofrio - nominated by Vivian Catenaccio - for the Sons of San Gennaro.

Also: Joseph Gulotta - nominated by Joseph Monticciolo - for the Italian Board of Guardians; Geraldine Iannello Graham - nominated by John A. Fratta - for the Order Sons & Daughters of Italy in America, Commission for Social Justice; Anna Malafronte - nominated by Ivana Giuntoli McCotter - for the Italian Welfare league; Anthony Manetta - nominated by Robert G.
