Say the word "ambrosia," and one conjures up images of exquisite food -- especially delicious to taste and to smell. In classical mythology, it's even deemed "the food of the gods." And while the borough of Staten Island has seen its fair share of Italian restaurants, many would opine each remains unique in and of themselves.
Over in Grasmere to be exact, Ambrosio (i.e. the masculine for ambrosia) Italian Restaurant opened its doors to diners less than a year ago. And since that time the eatery has garnered a reputation for fine food and wine, creative decor -- including a well-appointed bar enhanced with blue lighting -- pretty palm trees and lively entertainment.
