"It's been 71 years. I can't believe it," said Josephine Ozzella Sirianni when referring to her date of enlistment in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) during World War II.
Mrs. Sirianni, 94, of Olean, shared her story of serving as an interpreter in Italy during the war in commemoration of Veterans Day observed nationally on Tuesday.
