The Calamari Sisters, a live-action spoof of a public access television show taping of a cooking show hosted by best friend/worst enemy sisters, Carmela & Delphine Calamari, will once again take center stage at Auburn Public Theater on Nov. 16, 17 and 18. The original title in a series of seven different but similar shows, "Cooking with the Calamari Sisters" is the brainchild of co-creators Jay Falzone, Stephen Smith and Dan Lavender.
The idea for creating the show was inspired by a cocktail-party-gone-awry at which all three of the show's creators were present; and the same exact energy that infuses just such a cocktail party lives on in all seven of the Calamari Sisters titles.
