The last time the Italian Heritage Festival ran out of zeppoles, children cried. "People were angry," said Danielle McWhorter, one of the two women charged with making the Italian dessert for the crowd.
But when the sugar-topped bites of fried dough are gone, they're gone.
"We tell people not to wait to get other food and come back. Because if you wait, there will either be a line or we'll be sold out," McWhorter said.
