Italian pop star Laura Pausini opened her Miami home to ANSA to share the story of her latest album. Titled Simili (Similar), it is to be released November 6 in 60 countries on the Atlantic-Warner Music label. A Spanish version is set for release on November 13. "Becoming a mother has changed my life, in terms of work as well," the 41-year-old singer-songwriter and record producer told ANSA.
"Now I have a responsibility and a broadmindedness that I didn't have before," she said. "Simili is the least autobiographical of my albums," she said of the 12-track release, her first since the birth of her daughter Paola two and a half years ago. She said some of the tracks were inspired by fans, and others were written for her by friends and colleagues such as singer-songrwiters Lorenzo Jovanotti, Biagio Antonacci and Giuliano Sangiorgi.
