Luciano “Louis” Graziano was born on February 6, 1923, in East Aurora, New York, to immigrant parents from Italy. At the young age of 20, on January 22, 1943, the day Luciano “Louis” Graziano was inducted into the U.S. Army, little did he know what an impact his military career would have on his life. The next three years would take him from training to the battlefields and finally to witnessing victory.
He was in the 3rd wave that landed on Omaha Beach and fought in the Battle of the Bulge and at St. Lo. And, he is the last known living witness to the German surrender at the Little Red Schoolhouse in Reims, France, on May 7, 1945! Louis' daughter, Kim, invites you to celebrate her Dad's centennial birthday by sending cards to: Louis Graziano - 238 W Hill St. - Thomson, GA 30824
And, if anyone is going to be in the area of Thomson, GA on Feb 4th, the Friends of the Thomson McDuffie County Library are having a meet and greet from 11-1 at 338 Main Street, Thomson, GA 30824 and the public is invited.
