The Dickinson Little Italy Festival of Galveston County is preparing for our 3rd annual event, which will occur on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Dickinson City Hall from 9:30am-7:30 pm. Our mission is to regenerate a sense of community and stimulate vitality and nostalgia of local Texas history by preserving, honoring, and celebrating the vast Sicilian–Italian history and culture which has been prevalent in Galveston County for over a century.
The support of the community has been instrumental to the success of our event, and your support will help fulfill our vision to assist the community in education, local Texas and cultural history, and the arts. Our generous partners, donors, and sponsors have made it possible for us to share and distribute a portion of funds to our first scholarship recipeint in 2021 and also the Dickinson Historical Society.
For 2022, we will be extending to graduating seniors the opportunity for 2 scholarships and as we grow, our goal is to add more scholarship opportunities! We are a 501c(3) non-profit organization.
There is a sponsorship level available for every budget! Sponsors may be acknowledged on our social media sites, webpage, or other promotional material as described on our sponsorship form. Our 2020 and 2021 festivals were a great success, and with us returning to the location of Dickinson City Hall at City Centre, we expect an even larger turnout!
Additionally, we offer the opportunity for “In-Kind” Sponsorship. Businesses or individuals may provide specific items, services, or sponsor an activity or event. Some of our activities include a live auction, St Joseph procession and altar, spaghetti eating contest, grape stomping, children’s crafts and games, and live entertainment throughout the day. We are also accepting food, desserts, or wine donations for use at the festival. We would like to have donations & commitments received by January 28th to ensure that sponsors are acknowledged.
