The Tusayan Town Council is set to take public comment Wednesday on changes to an agreement for massive development in the small town that serves as a gateway to the Grand Canyon.
An Italian company has plans for a dude ranch, high-end boutiques, five-star hotels, hundreds of homes and a high-density shopping area off the highway to the Grand Canyon's South Rim.
But Stilo Development Group USA defaulted on its agreement with town officials. A Thursday mediation session was canceled in hopes the town and the developer could make some amendments to move the project forward.
