Pastaio USA, an established Italian pasta maker, is considering property in Great Stream Commons as the site of its first manufacturing plant in the United States. At Monday night’s Warrior Run School Board meeting, accountant Steve Jensen, a company representative explained how the local location would benefit the community. Pastaio is a leading international mass producer of gnocchi.
Jensen said the initial investment would be $8.4 million in the first year and an additional $8.7 million over the subsequent four years, ultimately creating 125 jobs. The proposed location is 18108 Russell Road, Allenwood. Great Stream Commons is in Gregg Township, Union County.
