The SME Education Foundation is lending its support to the Italian Trade Agency's by helping promote its 2015 call for papers for the agency's Italian Machine Tool Technology Awards.

The aim of the program is to enrich the engineering education of students and to advance knowledge on issues of importance within the industry to the next generation of engineering professionals, which is in line with the SME Education Foundation's overall mission of inspiring, preparing and supporting the next generation of manufacturing engineers and technologists by investing in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) educational programs and student scholarships.
