The Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn commemorated its annual Italian Heritage event at Tiro-A-Segno on Tuesday, Oct. 17. October, which marked Italian Heritage Month, brought a special ambiance to this gathering. The event spotlighted the flavors of Abruzzo, Italy, the region where the Association's President Yolanda Gaudagnoli's parents hail from. Abruzzo's culinary tradition draws from its rich agricultural and coastal terrain.
The region is known for dishes like "Spaghetti alla chitarra" with tomato-based sauces and meats, skewered lamb known as "Arrosticini," and a variety of rustic pizzas, cured meats, cheeses and wines, including the popular Montepulciano. The Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn, established in 1966 by Hon. Frank J. Pino, serves as a congregation for Italo-American legal professionals to discuss their professional experiences.
