The Italian Teachers Association of New Jersey (ITANJ) is excited to offer again a Saturday morning webinar series due to the popularity of last year's webinars. Our webinar series provides professional development from your kitchen, with no worries about winter weather! This year we offer two Saturday morning webinars on: Saturday, January 23, 2016; Saturday, February 13, 2016. Participants will receive TWO HOURS of Professional Development credit for each webinar with certificates to be emailed immediately after the webinar.
Our featured presenter is Lillyrose Veneziano Broccia, Director of the Italian Language Program and Coordinator of Intermediate Italian at the University of Pennsylvania where she teaches Italian Language, Cinema, Literature and History courses at all levels in both English and Italian. Lillyrose is the author of Music Study Program, Italia 1988-2012 (2014) and published several other works as well. Lillyrose is presenting two webinars that are related, but participants may choose to attend only one if they would like.
"The Art of Music" and "The Music of Art" are our two-webinar series on Jan. 23 and Feb. 13. The first webinar, "The Art of Music" will focus on Art. In this webinar, learn how students create their own art in the classroom while using established artists and pieces in several ways. Participants receive lesson materials and are able to interact with the presenter with the technology platform we are currently using.
The second webinar, "The Music of Art" will focus on Italian pop music. The second webinar will conclude with a final project, which clearly shows participants how Art & Music are interwoven. Attend both webinars to learn how to incorporate both art and music together in your classroom.
Register for one or both webinars at www.itanj.org. Webinars begin at 9 AM (Eastern Standard Time) and end at approximately 10:30 AM. The cost per webinar is $35.00 each or $60.00 for both. The registration deadline for the first webinar is January 15, and Feb 5 for the February 13 webinar. Web links and passwords for participation in the webinars will be sent to participants a few days prior to each webinar.
Questions about the webinars and payment can be sent to Teresa Sengel at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Silvana Berardo, ITANJ President
