One of the main reasons most of us joined the Italian American Club of Hilton Head Island apart from sharing the Italian heritage and culture is our common bond and deep interest in helping those who are in need of charitable assistance. Our fundraising programs include several events, such as our Italian Heritage Festival, Italian Sunday Dinner, "Italian Open" Golf Tournament, Bocce Tournament and Zin Experience ("ZinFest") Wine Gala.
Our 501c3 club distributes funds to local scholarships and charitable organizations in the Hilton Head and Bluffton areas of South Carolina only, keeping the funds local. Yesterday, at our weekly luncheon, we were happy to hand out checks to our 2019 recipients who represent the following charitable organizations: Family Promise—Lynda Halpern; Treat the Troops – Jeanette Cram; Brain Gain –Bob Sulek; VIM – Ginger Allen; Girl Scouts – Susan Brooks/Nancy Sulek; Safe Harbor – Emily Newman; HH Island Crew – David Erdman; St. Gregory Knights of Columbus – Mario Antonacci.
Thank you everyone for all that you do and being part of a greater cause!
