The highlight of the Italian American Cultural Club’s June 5 meeting was a Hawaiian luau with the meal featuring a roasted pig with all the trimmings and entertainment provided by Tuika’s Polynesian Island Magic. The entertainers celebrated members’ birthdays and taught several members the hula dance.
The club’s hula hoop winners were Theresa Coppa and Mary Ann Rigby. The best dressed winners were Bob Ryan and Lucia Scaffidi. Other winners for the evening were Mary Ann Patrizio, Rose Rokosky and Mary Babaryk. As a surprise for the luau, the club offered the dinner at no charge to its members.
