Bridgeport resident Ranee Torchia has always had a love of baking. "I've been baking my whole life with my mom," Torchia said. "When I was little I started baking with her, and that's where I learned how to do all this."
Four years ago, Torchia decided to use that love of baking to start her own business, Torchia's Italian Pastries. "I started first with cookies," Torchia said. "I couldn't keep up with cookies, and it got into cakes. People just went crazy over my cakes, so I've built more on my cakes than I did before."
