Celebrity chef Giada de Laurentiis says she is opening a new restaurant in Baltimore in 2018. De Laurentiis, who is known for her various roles on the Food Network, appeared on a Facebook Live video for the cable channel on Friday and was asked by a viewer if she planned to open any new restaurants."Yes, I'm going to open a restaurant in Baltimore," de Laurentiis answered. "Yes, don't ask me why. I have to think of the reason, but I am going to open a restaurant in Baltimore in 2018."
You can see the clip above, around the 11:30 mark. Representatives for de Laurentiis could not be reached Friday to provide any additional details on the restaurant. To date, de Laurentiis operates one restaurant, Giada, inside the Caesars Entertainment Corp.-owned Cromwell hotel in Las Vegas. Giada, which opened in July 2014, serves a variety of Italian dishes including tortellini with pea pesto, pancetta and mint, and a mustard-crusted rack of lamb with spinach, raisins, walnuts and herbed gremolata.
