According to a news release, the New Jersey-based restaurant will open its second location in the area set to serve its customized Italian Roll-Ups, pasta bowls and salad bowls made with locally-grown and sustainable ingredients. The Downtown Silver Spring restaurant will feature the chain's signature "large tavola" (communal seating), stained concrete floors and weathered woods.
While currently under construction, the new location will be located at 8512 Fenton Street, across from Whole Foods Market. In addition to Gusto, celebrity Chef Alex Garcia's first DC-area AG Kitchen restaurant will make its way to Downtown Silver Spring early this summer.
