Philly foodies will get a taste of great things to come with the opening of “Martorano’s Sicilian Slice” at Rivers Casino Philadelphia. The new pizza shop by celebrity cook and South Philly native Steve Martorano and his wife, Marsha Daley-Martorano, officially opens Wednesday, May 31, at 3 p.m. Complimentary samples of Sicilian Slice pizza will be served around the casino floor, while supplies last.
Its location in the casino’s Marketplace is just steps away from where Martorano’s Prime will soon open its Italian-American Steakhouse. The fresh ingredients and elevated pies at Sicilian Slice are a culinary overture to the fine dining anticipated at Martorano’s Prime. An opening date for the first full-service restaurant by the Martorano duo in Philadelphia is expected soon.
