Sal’s Pizza may be new to Smithfield, but it’s been around awhile. This Neapolitan-style pizza eatery originated in 1990 in New Hampshire. The magic, however, started in the 1940s on Boston’s North Shore where Sal’s grandparents sold pizzas.
Today you can find Sal’s Pizza in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, California, Arizona and now, Smithfield. They opened in November, next door to the former Sista’s Café in a strip mall off Benns Church Boulevard, and have been busy, busy, busy. A good problem for a new business to have.
