Bar Roma aims for October debut in Andersonville

A casual Italian restaurant that will feature Roman-inspired dishes and an eclectic selection of "global" meatballs aims to debut in late October in Andersonville. Bar Roma is the brainchild of Julia Zhu, a recently retired commercial banker who was a one-time partner at Oysy Sushi. But she has a lot of friends.

Her longtime companion, restaurateur Howard Davis (Gioco), consulted on the project. Sommelier Bob Bansberg (Gabriel's) crafted the wine list and other beverage options. The executive chef will be Fred Ramos (Angelina Ristorante, Gioco).
